In accordance with instructions issued by the Secretary of the Presidential Office in Letter Hua-Zhong-1-Li-Zi No. 0990019500, dated January 22, 2010, his remaining duties shall be assumed by Chief Prosecutor Tseng Yung-fu of the Supreme Prosecutors Office. The relevant transfer procedures were completed on January 26, 2010.
- 337 In the joint investigation by the Special Investigation Division of this Office and the Prosecutors Office of the Taipei District Court of the Taishin Holdings-Chang Hwa Bank merger case, the Northern Mobile Work Group of the Investigation Bureau and prosecutor investigators were instructed to conduct searches at 11 locations including the premises of Taishin Holdings at around 13:30 today (February 5).

- 339 Regarding the first instance judgment rendered against Former-President Chen Shui-bian and other defendants for committing the offences of corruption and negligence of duties, the Special Investigation Division of the Supreme Prosecutors Office (SPO) has already filed an appeal with the Taiwan High Court today (18th of September) based on the fact that the partial judgment was made by inappropriate fact and punishment determination and law application.
- 340 The Supreme Prosecutors Office (SPO) previously indicted Former-President Chen Shui-bian and other defendants for corruption and negligence of duties. The judgment of such cases was announced at 16:00 this afternoon (11th of September) by Taiwan Taipei District Court, the SPO hereby declares the following:

The Supreme Prosecutors Office (SPO) wishes to clarify the above in order to ensure a correct understanding of the facts.
- 343 The editorial of China Times today (14 July) opines that the rights of privacy and of reputation offered to government officials are different from ordinary people, therefore, it criticizes the private prosecution brought by Prosecutor-General of the Supreme Prosecutors Office (SPO) Chen Tsung-ming against Legislator Chiu Yi of the Legislative Yuan . The writer of the editorial more or less misunderstands the facts. The SPO wishes to explain:
- 344 The press stated: “That Legislator (Congressman) Chiu Yi pointed out: …After Huang Jui-ching’s bank account in Switzerland was frozen, Former-President Chen once invited Former Minister of Justice Shih Mao-lin, Former Investigation Bureau Head Yeh Sheng-mao and Prosecutor-General of SPO Chen Tsung-ming to the Presidential Residence to study the subject issue…”. The press report is inconsistent with the facts.
