Organization System Chart of the Supreme Prosecutors Office

The Supreme Prosecutors Office (hereinafter, the office) is the highest prosecution authority, handling prosecution affairs at the third instance. In accordance with the Court Organization Act and the Regulation of Supreme Prosecutors Office Affairs, its organization structure is as follows:the Office will have a certain number of prosecutors pursuant to applicable law. One of them is assigned as the Prosecutor General, who is nominated by the President and appointed upon approval of the Legislative Yuan. The term for Prosecutor General is four years only and cannot be reelected. When the number of prosecutors has exceeded six, prosecutors can be divided in to small group to perform their duties. One Prosecutor in each group should be assigned as the Head Prosecutor to supervise the affairs of such group.
One Secretary General and a number of Law Clerks are placed under Supreme Prosecutors Office. The number of Law Clerks is determined by orders. The Law Clerks are in charge of records, documentation, research and valuation, data, and general affairs; the above affairs can be carried out by sections and the Prosecutor General shall designate section chief to direct and supervise the affairs of such section.
In addition, the Office shall have Personnel Office, Accounting Office, Statistics Office, Civil Service Ethics Office, and Information Management Office, which are operated relevant affairs pursuant to laws.
