Investigations have been concluded with regards to allegations that several judges and prosecutors of the Taiwan High Court as well as lawyers have committed corruption, disclosure of classified information, money laundering and giving false evidence. The Prosecutors of this Office have initiated public prosecutions against 13 defendants including Chen Rong-He today (8th).

With regards to allegations that several judges and prosecutors of the Taiwan High Court as well as lawyers have committed corruption, disclosure of classified information, money laundering and giving of false evidence, the prosecutors of the Supreme Prosecutors Office had directed the Ministry of Northern Mobile Taskforce of the Justice Investigation Bureau and the Taipei District Prosecutors Office in investigations of the case since December 2006, under the title of “Project Zheng-Yi”. It was subsequently designated as a case for the Special Investigations Division of this Office by the Prosecutor General, pursuant to Article 63-1, Paragraph 1, Section 3 of the Court Organization Act. The investigations have now been concluded, and today (the 8th) the prosecutors officially initiated public prosecutions against 13 defendants, being Chen Rong-He, Li Chuen-Di, Cai Guang-Zhi, Fan A-Sheng, Chiu Mao-Rong, Chiu Chuang-Shuen, Huang-Lai Rui-Zhen, Duan Mei-Yue (all of the above 8 defendants are already under police custody), He Zhi-Hui, Zhang Bing-Long (the above 2 defendants are on the wanted list), Xie Yen-Zhen, Zhang Chuan and Yeh Zong-Yi.
