Pursuant to Art. 66-1 of the Court Organization Act, Act. 7 and Act. 12 of the organization rules of the Office, the Office established a Legal Research Center. The purpose of the Center is to enhance prosecutorial performance, to unify legal opinions, to strengthen the extraordinary appeal mechanism, to perform oral arguments in constitutional cases of the Supreme Court, and to study legal issues.
Main Tasks:
- Research ways to enhance prosecutorial performance.
- Study the application standards of laws within prosecutorial offices.
- Strengthen the extraordinary appeal mechanism.
- Study legal issues related to new types of crimes in the modern era.
- Analyze legal issues concerning cases of the Supreme Court.
- Study legal issues associated with constitutional cases.
- Research, compile, and organize domestic and international legislative examples and practices.
- Research, analyze, evaluate, and under consultation for legal cases and issues.
- Organize seminars or workshops and publish related materials.
- Address other tasks delegated by the Prosecutor General.
