Cooperate with administrative authorities in eliminating entry points for illegal firearms

In order to crackdown on crime effectively and to prevent illegal firearms from being smuggled into Taiwan, not only must the law enforcement authorities increase its investigations, the customs authorities must also pay more attention to the investigation of firearms. The Directorate General of Customs has already installed several kinds of X-ray equipment at the various customs points, and will continue to procure additional investigation equipment as well as increase training for its personnel, and improve the exchange of information between the investigative authorities. These measures will effectively crackdown on the crime of smuggling and prevent the smuggling of illegal firearms into Taiwan.
