Method to implement elimination of criminal syndicates

  1. Audit their financial and taxation status to cut off their economic sources;
  2. Make good use of provisions about protection of complainants and witnesses referred to in the Organized Crime Prevention Act and Witness Protection Act; encourage members of mobs or criminal syndicates or the public to report the illegal activities;
  3. Set up an offshore criminal syndicates information network to prevent local crimes from being spread internationally;
  4. Set up a database for crimes committed by illegal immigrants from Mainland China in Taiwan; verify illegal immigrant syndicates and the organizations hiring illegal immigrants to commit crimes;
  5. Strength raids against drug dealers, smugglers, gun dealers, gambling dens and pornographers, and collusion in tendering for material public construction projects to cut off the financial sources of the criminal syndicates.
