To safeguard democratic processes and the integrity of elections, the Prosecutor General leads nationwide prosecutors under Article 115 of the Civil Servants Election and Recall Act to combat election obstruction.
The recent efforts by the Prosecutors Offices have been widely recognized for active investigations into election fraud, including bribery, violence, and election obstruction. To correct election practices, to combat crimes, and to guard citizens' rights to vote, the Office set up a Supervisory Task Force on Election, pursuant to the Court Organization Act, the Referendum Act, Public officials Election And Recall Act, and Presidential and Vice Presidential Election and Recall Act. This task force aims to ensure collaboration between prosecutorial offices, police offices, investigative offices, and immigration agencies, and to prevent illicit money, violence, and foreign malign k forces' intervention, and to crack down election gambling, and to authenticate and to remove DeepFake news.
